Was a choice between Start and B rating for this one. A wider selection of references (preferably of the dead wood kind) would have swayed me. The article is worth improving - it's an interesting issue and made me think. Orderinchaos78 22:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Corrections required[edit]

There are inaccuracies in this page, notably the name of the test has changed to Selective High Schools Placement Test. There are also wildly inaccurate sweeping statements like the one which states that selective high schools outperform other high schools. The fact that some people rely on Wikipedia for their "facts" should give contributors the responsibility to ensure that their facts are accurate. I have corrected at least the listing of selective high schools but this is not an official NSW Department of Education and Training page and I do not assume the responsibility for maintaining its accuracy.Detexpert (talk) 23:30, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References, footnotes etc[edit]

This article contains interesting and, quite probably, accurate information. However, the lack of detailed references is a major problem. So, I've marked the article accordingly. Hopefully, someone will be able to supply verifiable source references.--203.63.130.189 (talk) 04:07, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The information is the section titled 'History' is totally inadequate. Sydney High was established in 1883. The oldest selective school in Australia is Fort Street High School which was established in 1849. It was set up in the colony of NSW as a model for other schools. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.242.175.226 (talk) 03:33, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
