Expanding this article[edit]

The article Self Psychology had information on this subject but it lacked sources and was poorly written. I have turned it into a redirect page and plan to expand upon this article. Thanks. --Michelleem 16:51, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no info in here on Mary Calkins, arguable the mother of Self Psychology. I'm just a psych student, but this is a pretty glaring omission 173.89.72.150 (talk) 03:44, 20 April 2010 (UTC) Jonathan Katz[reply]

It would be good to rectify the lacking attribution to Mary Calkins. I'm not a regular Wiki contributor, but at the least this could cite the Mary Whiton Calkins article here in Wikipedia. I have no markup-language foo to add the necessary citation. Surely there are some contributors to psychological articles who can do this please? The citation used in the Calkins article is: Furumoto, L. (1990). "Mary Whiton Calkins". In O'Connell, Agnes N.; Russo, Nancy Felipe. Women in psychology : a bio-bibliographic sourcebook (1. publ. ed.). New York: Greenwood Press. pp. 57–59. I (different writer than above) agree with this statement, Mary Calkins is not recognized as the creator of self-psychology, which she theorized in the early 1900s. Also she was the first female president of the APA, honored in 1906. How is she left out of this article?

citation style is so bad it's not possible to verify article[edit]

Please fix so info in article be verified. Farrajak (talk) 15:36, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
