Sensor Array This page had got over 10,000 views on the Wiki server at Stevens Institute of Technology. I left Stevens and it was directed to Wikipedia, raising the following 3 comments: 1) No references 2) Too technical 3) Need to be wikified.

In response, I made the following improvements: 1) Added references 2) Rewrote in plain English to be understandable to non-technical readers 3) Added cross-refernces and adopted formats from other Wikipedia pages

However, the comments are still there, please let me know how to solve the problems and make further improvements. Thanks. Chnrogerguo (talk) 01:03, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to improve this article from a technical point of view. Many formulas and sentences on this page didn't make any sense but now they do. --Gottmaster (talk) 13:53, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article is very concisely produced, thanks guys for your contribution. Question: Under "Spectrum Based Beamforming":

1) I see something I think is the expectation operator: . Is that true?

2) The decomposition has the comment "It needs to be clarified what S means in this equation." I agree. Can anyone clarify? Kapple19 (talk) 07:29, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an expert, and the article could do with quite a bit of attention by experts. That said:
  1. The E indeed denotes the expectation (over time).
  2. I believe S is a diagonal matrix whose entries are the eigenvalues of the signal (without noise).
I hope this helps. You may want to ask for help with the article at WT:WikiProject Physics. Huon (talk) 16:31, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
