The Philadelphia System is more properly called the "Pennsylvania System" and was first implemented in Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. See the addition to the article.--DThomsen8 (talk) 01:22, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Results or impact[edit]

Needs a section on results. Studies have shown people in solitary confinement suffer terribly and can be driven to depression and suicide as a result.--Parkwells (talk) 17:08, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
