Shawnigan Lake#Features "...are still visible in the lake." Does that mean that the remains of the saw mill are under water? Peter Horn User talk 01:34, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not familiar with the spot, but my guess is it means its foundations, what are often called "pilings" in these parts; many mills were built over the water, like canneries etc.Skookum1 (talk) 01:08, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's correct; the support pilings are still embedded in the lakebed, and there are (or were) also the remains of some old mill hardware in the woods.
