I created a separate disambiguation page (Congregation Sherith Israel) for the synagogues that spell it without the "a". I think that's the best solution. If you don't agree, you can put the individual "Sherith Israel"s back as "See also"s, and we'll do the same with the "Shearith Israel"s at Congregation Sherith Israel. — Malik Shabazz(talk·contribs) 20:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Historicist. There's no need to have them separate, and probably goes against the intention of all the original names by either spelling: all these congregations intended to reference themselves as "The Remnant of Israel," and merely had different transliterations for the English name. For the encyclopedia user, the separation into two pages also makes navigation more difficult and less obvious. Whatever intent one may have in improving this by use of two pages can also be had by adding a brief note on the combined page. I put it back as one, with a redirect on the Sherith spelling.
