Ai HaibaraAnita Hailey — The implication of the result in Talk:Case Closed#Requested move meant all Case Closed characters should go with dub version names if there is. According to the Viz version of the Volume 18 of Case Closed manga, this character was named Anita Hailey-- and given previous usage of such a name, I have certain belief that the CC usage of this name is universal, and hence should be used. —Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 08:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support not because of being the nom (the nom was out of necessity), but because name consistancy has to be enforced. --Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 08:50, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed from Ai Haibara to Anita Hailey as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 14:06, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Move[edit]

I understand the name change to the dub version, but why use the character's alias? The Jimmy Kudo article is not named Conan Edogawa, so why should this article be any different. (Duane543 04:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Trivia and New sections[edit]

I deleted the trivia section(sense they are discouraged on Wikipedia, hey i don't make the rules), but don't panic, I just moved all the info into appropriate sections. I did not delete anything important. I had to add a section or two to help the artciel as well. Also any additions to the new sections would be useful. So edit away ^.^ - Prede (talk) 22:39, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

English Voice Actor[edit]

Where is the source that says Brina Palencia, will be playing this character in the English Dub? As far as I can tell, Funimation has only dubbed up to episode 120 something(japanese numbering), has only released up to episode 83, and has not announced at this time who this character will be played by. There is no source, and I can't find anything anywhere about who is going to play this character. I am removing that fro now, if you have a source though please feel free to re-add it. I really hope she is playing this character, that means we will see some more episodes! :) - Prede (talk) 08:27, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, the information was taken from the Wii Detective Conan game that was recently released in Europe, which uses the FUNimation voice cast interestingly enough. There was a cast list taken from the game posted up on the FUNimation Forums regarding it ( http://community.funimation.com/fb.aspx?m=101827 ), so I'd assume that what was posted here isn't fake. Mendinso (talk) 02:34, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The English version of the game hasn't been released yet - it's been released in other parts of Europe, though. Confirmation of Brina playing Ai (Anita) can be found on YouTube, where somebody managed to swipe some voice clips off the official websites for Ai and Kazuha (Katrina/Katie). Somebody thank that person. ~ Umiyuri (15 April 2009)

Also, the US release of movie 3 has officially confirmed this on their ending credits. CH (talk) 00:00, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing title[edit]

Looking at this version of the article, it's highly confusing that the article is at Anita Hailey and not Shiho Miyano. The first 50% of the article doesn't mention its title at all. Unless someone rewrites the introduction, this should be moved to Shiho Miyano. -- User:Docu

I requested that once, but a wiki rule states the name most known is the one in the header. And yes, this article needs major restructuring and rewriting and many of the characters articles also need the same. DragonZero (talk) 23:38, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A more general rule is that the article should start with its title .. Oddly, even earlier version don't do that. If we agree that this should be moved, let's go ahead. -- User:Docu

Anime Name[edit]

I watched the dub of the 3rd movie, and the name of this character was changed to Vye Raythorne. Rather it is her alias or actual name is unknown, but she is referred to it throughout the movie. Wondering which name; anime or manga, should be the link to this character? CH (talk) 00:05, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Usually its the manga, but since the animation and the manga are dubbed by two separate group, it goes by the name most known as. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 00:13, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, just wondering. I guess for now, Anita Hailey can stay until Funimation actually makes this change to the episode dubs, since they appear to matter more than the movies, that's assuming they ever dub a season six. If not, I'll let the rest of the editors decide what to do. CH (talk) 00:50, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

After watching the 3rd and 4th movie, it seems the name for Ai is Vi Graythorne. The main page currently lists it as being Vigray Thorne and that her nickname is Vi, but there is no evidence to support this. To me it sounds as if Vi is the first name and Graythorne is the last. In the very next sentence after her introduction in the opening, Conan calls her Vi (not at all saying that its a nickname). Also though she is credited as Sherry (Black Organization code name) in the 3rd movie, the 4th movie credits her as Vi. I don't see why they would list her by nickname in the credits. Though it is not an official confirmation, the moderator of the Funimation forum for Case Closed has Ai's name listed as this as well (http://community.funimation.com/tm.aspx?m=78451). Another post by the same moderator seems to point out the origination of the name (http://community.funimation.com/tm.aspx?m=164815&mpage=15&key=&#202024). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roguespider13 (talkcontribs) 04:41, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

Unless there are polls or reviews on this character with a reliable source, I'm merging this character. Show me a source and I'll work on establishing notability so this article will not be merged. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 06:01, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help Wanted[edit]

I created a page for Haibara Ai with the name of Ai Haibara, and due to lack of time I dismissed some sections that usually exist in a page of anime characters. Please help improve the page and the style. Roger Federer Xu (talk) 07:58, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
