Publication not notable enough for inclusion in this great bastion of knowledge[edit]

Inserted notability tag. It is just a local newspaper that no one reads therefore, it is debatable whether it is really notable. I say we have this debate here and now. I also think we should call into question whether this tabloid paper which has a poor reputation for fact-checking is a reliable publication for sources. You really are just a troll, aren't you. Bore off. Sumorsǣte (talk) 17:41, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Sumorsǣte: I feel my edits do conform to WP:NB therefore it is only right that we call into question the Shropshire Star's suitability for inclusion in Wikipedia. I'm not a deletionist or anything I just think we need to be pragmatic about this. Juan Diego Sanchez from Bogotta (talk) 18:01, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Put it up for AfD then Lyndaship (talk) 18:10, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's one of the highest-selling regional dailies in the UK (admittedly in a dramatically declining overall market) and historically, of course, was much bigger.
I suspect a long-running daily newspaper is usually going to meet notability requirements anyway; deleting the Star's article logically means deleting most articles on regional daily newspapers.
But as Lyndaship says, put it up for AfD if you feel strongly about it. Please note that deleting the article ABOUT the Star and using the Star as a reliable source for OTHER articles are completely separate issues. Barnabypage (talk) 06:27, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
