Lithium batteries[edit]

A kind of lithium battery uses this inorganic compoundAgre22 (talk) 22:12, 29 November 2008 (UTC)agre22[reply]

Thanks for mentioning this, I would not have caught it otherwise. Li-batteries have now been added in the Applications section.A. T. Galenitis (talk) 01:53, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Picture is broken[edit]

Just as I said. The picture link appears broken. I'll try and see if its fixable, otherwise I'll remove it. --Pstanton (talk) 05:57, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New structural drawing[edit]

I would like to add a new structural drawing to this compound. I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide me with some tips and things to watch out for regarding the format, etc. Thanks in advance! --TheGreatPanda (talk) 04:59, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewers needed![edit]

Please review the following three structural drawings, they were made with ChemOffice2010 and conform to standards of chemical drawings to the best of my ability. Please let me know if anything should be changed or improved. Any input is appreciated!

The structures are based on the following article: Hackert, Marvin L., and Robert A. Jacobson. "The Crystal Structure of Silver Chromate." Journal of Solid State Chemistry 3.3 (1971): 364-8. --TheGreatPanda (talk) 09:07, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Silver chromate structural drawings
Hello, for the structural formula I prepared a version with the chromate ion drawn in realistic tetrahdral geometry and with all Cr–O bonds equivalent, which is consistent with the use on other chromate articles. For the second picture the result is nice (especially if accurate bond distances have been used), but it doesn't seem to fit in with the typical wikipedia or textbook diagram. Probably a very late reply, but just to say that every effort in article improvement is valued! I think a schematic depiction of the unit cell bonding would be particularly welcome at this stage.A. Use in photography[edit]

In a previous version of the article there was mention of silver chromate being a "chemical precursor to modern photography". After some time looking around I couldn't find any reliable reference on the photographic use of the compound; although both dichromates (in gum bichromate printing) and of course silver halides (in the gelatin silver process etc.) have been used for early and later photographic procedures, I cannot find any using a silver chromate/dichromate salt. So far I've removed any mention of photography in the article, but if anyone has more knowledge (and references) on the topic please correct this. A. T.
