This is a promising article Dcattell, thanks. The lead would benefit from an example poetic image like the gibbon (junzi) and macaque (xiaoren) contrast. Could Wang's "poor dwelling" be a self-deprecating or politeness term? Van Gulik's book has translations of exemplary monkey poems, which may be of use. I have a copy and would gladly make some scans for you later. Best wishes, Keahapana (talk) 20:13, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've begun to try to respond. Dcattell (talk) 09:52, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. After spending far too much time studying monkey names, I've finally started Monkeys in Chinese culture. It's too large to call an article stub, maybe a stump? Best wishes, Keahapana (talk) 03:20, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
