"Simplified"[edit]

Uanfala: I've reverted Your link to Simplified. While I do see several uses of "(simp.)" to mean Simplified Chinese, this seems to be the only context in which this abbreviation is commonly used on Wikipedia. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 21:59, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I might be wrong then. I've just checked and the ISO 4 abbreviation is simpl. (notice the l), and I coudln't find any uses of "simp." as an abbreviation in the wild, so yeah, better leave it out. – Uanfala (talk) 22:17, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Simp meme[edit]

Is there a reason why the abbreviation for "sucker idolizing mediocre pussy" (SIMP) that has taken the internet by storm is not included here? 66.169.133.247 (talk) 00:44, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Simple; Wikipedia doesn't have an article about it. You're welcome to create the page Sucker idolizing mediocre pussy though. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 02:09, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wiktionary already covers the simp term, but yeah if you think that's the widely notable backronym, you can draft one out, although sources would have to be reliable. [1] Evening Standard is borderline according to WP:RSP AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 18:45, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
