SINTRAN was specifically made to run FORTRAN programs.

Simply because it is not correct. -- Egil 18:50, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it is. The original SINTRAN was actually no more than a compiler with an interactive shell - it was a portmanteau of "SINTEF" and "FORTRAN".

SINTRAN III, however, was a completely general-purpose, real-time OS. -- toresbe 11:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

...suddenly, I become less confident. Do either of us have any sources? :)

Sintran II[edit]

As far as I know, Sintran II was only a real time system, made for the Nord-1 and early Nord-10s. As the name itself tells us, Nord TSS was the time-sharing system for those models. Sintran III was based on both TSS and Sintran II.

There is an icon which displays reactos and that is displaced here, I'd suggest it removed. 92.72.196.215 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 16:24, 1 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]
