Siris the choreographer in London circa 1708[edit]

Just learned about him. Need to find references. What I know so far:

  • student of Pierre Beauchamp.
  • 5 dance publications known, 2 more named but no version available.
  • independently translated Choregraphie by Feuillet and published about a month before Weaver. In British Libray as The Art of Dancing
  • from 1708 dance, La Camilla title page:
    • A Londres, Chez le Sieur Siris, Rue St. Martins Lane
    • Autheur de la Choregraphie, en Angleterre
    • Maitre de Dance a Londres
  • article about him in JSTOR
