dating[edit]

...dated the pages of the missal to the year 1150, using radiocarbon dating techniques. No. Radiocarbon cannot be so precise: the dating would be in the form "1150 plus/minus x years". That should be reflected in the text. But covers made of oak wood covered with leather, which in turn have been dated to 1264 must be based on the well-established dendrochronology, which dates the oak panels, but not the leather, as suggested in the text.
