Just a thought. Would it not make more sense to limit this to the top ten finishers? Having all of the competitors listed, IMO, is overkill if you ask me. Chris 02:12, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We've started to put complete event results on these per-event pages. I don't see any reason to impose any arbitrary limit of "top N" finishers. Someone might say that it is reasonable to have the full results on pages like Ski jumping at the 2006 Winter Olympics - Normal Hill (K90) but for older Games, we should truncate the results, but that opens more questions - at what year do the Games get "old" and what is the limit? It seems to me that we have the ability to create a very comprehensive Olympic almanac on Wikipedia by including full results for every event, so why not? Wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia.
