• ... that the Dearborn Street Subway had skip-stop service in 1951 for one morning before it was discontinued? Source: "Upon rerouting the line into the new Milwaukee-Dearborn Subway on February 25, 1951, the CTA instituted A/B service on the line, but it was annulled after just one weekday morning rush period on Monday, February 26! Apparently, there was insufficient time to change all the manually-operated destination roll signs on the cars when a train changed from an "A" train to be "B" train at a terminal. The Milwaukee Route, which only had a handful of "A" and "B" stations anyway, would return to all-stop service for the next seven years."

Overall: @John M Wolfson: Nice work on the article. One question though: regarding the text The Evanston line (modern-day Purple Line), I think the Purple and Brown lines did have skip-stop on the section between Fullerton and the Loop, so it wouldn't have been the entire Purple Line that lacked skip-stop. Can this be clarified to "The Evanston line (part of the modern-day Purple Line)"? Besides that, the nomination only needs a QPQ before it's good to go. @John M Wolfson, Epicgenius, and Theleekycauldron: apologies for the late notice on this one, but I'm not sure the hook fact is accurate. The article says that the service ran skip-stop on the Sunday and then also on the Monday morning, before being discontinued, whereas the hook seems to imply that it only ran on the Monday morning. Unless I've misunderstood! Also, as an additional point, the article says the skip-stop started again on that line in 1958, whereas from the "discontinued" language I would tend to assume that it never occurred again...   @John M Wolfson: sorry to be a pain, but it's not really clear from the phrase "Upon the Dearborn subway's opening on February 25, 1951, a Sunday, it received A/B service" that there was no actual A/B service on that Sunday. Particularly as the previous paragraph indicates that Sunday A/B was trialled from 1950 to 1952. Can this be made clearer? On the 1958 front, not sure, but I do feel it's slightly misleading at present. Could we at least add "in 1951" or something into the hook, so it becomes more defensible that it wasn't discontinued forever? Let me know when you've had a chance to address these issues, and I'll turn it around ASAP once that's done as I appreciate your need to get it through for the WikiCup.   @Amakuru: That Sunday trial was only for the North-South route, as I attempted to clarify. As for the 1958 thing, I've added "in 1951" to the hook to be hopefully more honest while retaining a degree of interest.   @John M Wolfson:, I'm still having difficulty reconciling the sentence "Upon the Dearborn subway's opening on February 25, 1951, a Sunday, it received A/B service" from the article with the statement that it didn't run such a service on Sundays. I think this needs clarifying further. Really sorry I didn't come back to this during February, it completely slipped my mind and I've had a lot going on of late, BlueMoonset has reminded me about it. I feel particularly bad as it seems you didn't score any points in the WikiCup first round and this was your request. @Amakuru: It appears that I would not have advanced anyway with a mere 5 points, so no hard feelings in any event.
