"Parents: Harry Caray"[edit]

Why no mention of Skip's mother?76.199.11.174 (talk) 18:45, 15 April 2012 (UTC) Her name is Dutchie Caray[reply]

Skip Caray was a Roman Catholic (like his father Harry). His funeral took place at The Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta http://projects.ajc.com/gallery/view/sports/braves/braves_skip_caray_funeral/ http://www.georgiabulletin.org/local/2008/08/21/caray/#.Uc97rzvzQ3U

Photos with daughter and granddaughter[edit]

While the photos of Carey with his daughter and granddaughter are nice, they do not really have any encycopedic value per WP:NOTIMAGEGALLERY and WP:IUP#Image content. Neither of the two is Wikipedia notable and there's no real relevant article content specifically related to each picture per se. Nice photos for a family album to remmeber Carey, but that's not really Wikipedia's role. In addtion to the questionable context, the licesning of each file seems a bit iffy; however, if the licensing was beyond reproach, these still wouldn't be appropraite for the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:29, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Layout[edit]

I've reorganized the article's layout a bit. The entire article is one big biography so to speak, so there's no need for one main section titled "Biography". Generally articles about individual are divided up into sections about specific periods of the individual's life which what I tried to do. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:39, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Memorable calls[edit]

I've removed this section per WP:OR and WP:UNSOURCED. While these calls may indeed be memorable to fans of the team, they are only really memorable for Wikipedia purposes if it can be shown that the call itself was the subject of critical commentary in secondary sources beyond routine local coverage. Pretty much all sports casters are know for saying certain things, but whether these should be mentioned in Wikipedia usually requires encyclopedic relevance which can be verified through citations to reliable sources. "Memorable" is an interpretation and Wikipedia does not include it's own interpretation of things; it should only reflect interpreations in secondary reliable sources. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:45, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
