Which ships survive[edit]

The list of 32 in article is has differences vs. list of 35 in Chesapeake Bay Skipjack Fleet MPS. What list should be used? doncram (talk) 04:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure. The National Register list dates from 1984, which is quite a while ago. It's possible that the three missing boats were decommissioned in the meantime. I suspect there's a way to check with the state fisheries people to confirm this. Mangoe (talk) 05:16, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Typical dimensions[edit]

Would anyone be able to document typical dimensions of these craft, beyond the "40-50 feet" in length estimate? Beam, sailplan, draft, displacement, ...

They vary by a factor of two or more in displacement, very beamy, very shallow, with stumpy strongly raked masts. You might want to look at the Historic American Engineering Record documentation for Kathryn [1], with detailed measurements and drawings, or at the National Register nominations for Rebecca T.
