Headlines[edit]

I don't think tabloids such as the Western Mail should be cited as reputable sources. See note 9 . —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.114.212.70 (talkcontribs) 14:02, February 13, 2008

I'll have to look into that. From what I can tell, though, this reaction has been reported elsewhere for the film. Do you have any suggestions for alternative headlines? —Erik (talkcontrib) - 20:54, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. So I was reading this page, looking for information on this obscure movie, and I find such gems as,

Slipstream is an experiment, seemingly one could argue that it was about an actor and would-be screenwriter, who at the very moment of his meeting with Fate, comes to discover that life is random and fortune is sightless as he is thrown into a vortex where time, dreams, and reality collide in an increasingly whirling slipstream.
and,
In other words as one critic from Elkhart, Indiana stated " The movie was a total failure, whose images could be used projected on the walls of a rave club, and perhaps to those who wanted to waste a hit of acid on a bad trip".[who?]
My guess is that some internet shut-in tried to write an "authoritative" analysis of the movie and get it to be viewed as "official" because he managed to get it on Wikipedia. Needless to say, the page is a disaster, and preferably should be cremated. Short of that, rewritten by someone who isn't that guy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.22.167.64 (talk) 03:53, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In defense of the person(s) who wrote this article, the film is rather hard to describe and summarise on any useful level. In any case, I don't think we can categorize it as "Science Fiction" or say that the main character is "caught in a slipstream vortex". I propose that one can safely say the following instead:"It is an experimental film with flash cuts an non linear plots and characters. It resembles surrealist films by filmmakers such as Luis Buñuel or David Lynch."

Would this be acceptable? Mrkeked (talk) 23:08, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
