Italian Air Force assistance issue[edit]

On 27 May 2009 wikipedia user who created this page, "Tomhec" stated that "Slovenian Air Force and Air Defence aim is securing sovereignty of the air space of the Republic of Slovenia (with the help of Italian air force)"

  • 1. What are the refferences? (for the help of of Italian air force)
  • 2. If the statement is true, what kind of support exactly Italian air force gives to Slovenian?
  • 3. If the statement is true, is there an obligation of Slovenia to pay Italy for support?

Reason for opening discussion on this subject is a popular belief (without formal references) that "Slovenia pays Italy a certain amount of money each year for defending Slovenian aerospace". For example, wikipedia user "Zastavafan76", who created article "SFR Yugoslav Air Force", stated in that article, without any refference that: "Slovenia pays about 60 million euros a year to the Italian Air Force for defending Slovenian aerospace."

The official site of the italian air force states that their airplanes enforce "air policing" over the skies of Slovenia (since 2007) and Albania (since 2009).84.222.237.141 (talk) 12:52, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
