Merger discussion for Penis (disambiguation)[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing—Penis (disambiguation)—has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Doug Mehus T·C 20:01, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. This would amount to redirecting "small penis" to "penis" which is not helpful and would, I suspect, not survive RfD. Either leave it alone, or delete. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:41, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Shhhnotsoloud, How do you figure it would "amount to redirecting 'small penis' to 'penis'" Penis (disambiguation) is the proposed merger target; thus, small penis would be redirected there. Human and other mammal males both have penises of varying sizes and neither is primary topic. Doug Mehus T·C 16:44, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Dmehus: a redirect of Small penis to Penis (disambiguation) would be distinctly less helpful to the reader than the status quo. My opinion, therefore, is to leave it alone. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 12:47, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Shhhnotsoloud, I'm not opposed to leaving it alone, but what I am opposed to is to converting small penis into a redirect to human penis size, as proposed by only one editor, because human males aren't the only male mammals with penises regardless of size. If there is support for a merger of the disambiguation pages, great. If not, I am fine with that, too, but in my opinion, the penis size-related redirects should point to either of, in preference, (1) small penis; (2) penis (disambiguation); (3) a split article of penis on the sizing of penises of all mammals; or (4) (somewhat weakly, perhaps) to penis. It should not point (no pun intended; this is a pun minefield!) human penis size. Your thoughts? Doug Mehus T·C 15:41, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I've realised this is not the merger discussion. I've now commented at the right place. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:00, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
