Citation overkill and article improvement[edit]

Although the AfD was closed as keep, this article remains in horrible state. I will try to use 3-4 "best" sources to reference claims in the article and delete most other "references" (few may end in "Further reading" section). I suspect many of these sources are only passing mentions of SmartPLS software or don´t mention it at all... It may take some time - this article has fairly low priority for me - but I feel burden of improving of the article is on the keep "voters" of the AfD. SmartPLS is a software with graphical user interface for variance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) using the partial least squares (PLS) path modeling method.[1] Besides estimating path models with latent variables using the PLS-SEM algorithm[2][3], the software computes standard results assessment criteria (e.g., for the reflective and formative measurement models, the structural model, and the goodness of fit)[4] and it supports additional statistical analyses (e.g., confirmatory tetrad analysis, importance-performance map analysis, segmentation, multigroup).[5] Since SmartPLS is programmed in Java, it can be executed and run on different computer operating systems such as Windows and Mac.[6]
