A Rodelbahn ia an Alpine slide? Peter Horn User talk 00:48, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's just a toboggan run (on snow). An Alpine slide is similar, but not identical, to a Sommerrodelbahn. The latter has no wheels though AFAIK. --Bermicourt (talk) 05:32, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps you could translate de:Rodelbahn and de:Rodeln into English. Peter Horn User talk 15:18, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure why that would help; de:Rodelbahn is just a dab page for the different uses of the German term and de:Rodeln is their equivalent of our sledding article. I've found out more about the distinction between Alpine slide and Sommerrodelbahn. The former says it uses a "wheeled cart", the latter term apparently covers facilities using toboggans or bobs (i.e. no wheels) as well as "Alpine coasters" that run on rails. --Bermicourt (talk) 16:32, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In English, the articles bobsled run or sled run do not yet exist but toboggan run does. What if we were to redirect rodelbahn to toboggan run? Peter Horn User talk 18:17, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, toboggan run redirects to toboggan, so I created two more redirects and Rodelbahn now redirects to toboggan. Peter Horn User talk 18:30, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Area[edit]

23,000 m2 (2.3 ha) and 2.3 ha (5.7 acres) Peter Horn User talk 17:15, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

23,000 m2 (27,508 sq yd) would be more elegant than 23,000 m2 (247,570 sq ft)*. Peter Horn User talk 18:25, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
