Lisa See as "Chinese-American"[edit]

although the author herself is identifying herself (for marketing reasons) as 'Chinese-American,' the problem with identifying a person of 1/8th extraction (and 7/8th not Chinese) as the category is that it leads to such situation as identifying Barack Obama as "Irish-American" (because of his 1/8th Irish ancestry).
