Merger proposal[edit]

I note that this article was originally a redirect to Snow grooming. There seems to be a lot of overlap, at the present. I can see the articles diverging if this one becomes primarily about the machines and the other becomes primarily about the techniques involved. Truthfully, I don't think that there is enough citable material to have separate articles. User:HopsonRoad 22:31, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm easy either way, but just like ski and skiing, there is scope for developing separate articles in due course. What this really needs is material like that on French Wikipedia at fr:Autoneige. --Bermicourt (talk) 07:41, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I tend to agree that this ought to be merged into Snow grooming. - Ahunt (talk) 13:00, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Keep and expand. There is a lot of scope for sections on different makes/types of snow groomer that will make this a big article with its own focus. Plenty for the auto/technical guys out there to get their teeth into! --Bermicourt (talk) 10:02, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To make your case, Bermicourt, I suggest posting here some potential reliable sources on the subject, preferably from secondary sources. The French article, fr:Autoneige, doesn't meet that standard. Absent that, I don't feel that there's a case to be made. User:HopsonRoad 15:37, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
