"Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan" should replace not merge with "Society for the Rise of Kurdistan" as Rise is an incorrect translation of Teali which actually means Elevation, also the sources are much more correct and diverse in the new "Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan" page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Interhistorian (talkcontribs) 15:32, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support merge. The Society, Association etc. was named with different names as it is made clear in the article a Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan. I haven't really read a lot about the organization under the name Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan. I have read about a Society for the Rise of Kurdistan at Olson who is a widely cited author. Then I have also read about a Society for the Advancement of Kurdistan (SAK) at Hasan Özoglu, also an often cited author. Both are authors User Interhistorian also uses for their article of the Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan. For the moment I'd prefer to stick with the Society for the Rise of Kurdistan, and make a redirect for it under Society for the Advancement of Kurdistan, and also for the Society for the Elevation of Kurdistan. The articles should be merged, as they are about the same organization.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:11, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
