The depicted structure is wrong! The active ingredient for sklerotherypy is the substance with CAS No 139-88-8[edit]

The structure shown depicts n - Tetradecylsulphate. (n-STDS)

Actually, this is NOT the active pharmaceutical ingredient used for sklerotherapy in injectables such as Sotradecol, Trombovar, Fibrovein etc. Those medicines contain a branched sodium tetradecylsulphate isomer systematically named "Sodium 7-ethyl-2-methyl-4-undecanol sulfate", CAS No.: 139-88-8 is unfortunately also frequently referred to as "STDS".

Verify this info using CAS online or Chemidplus [1]
