Untitled[edit]

Can you please delete this page? Or at least vastly edit it. "Soft grunge" is not a legitimate subgenre of music, it's just a fashion trend. Most of the artists listed fall into actual categories of music, mostly indie pop. If you listen to the artists that are listed, there is not a single noticeable grunge influence in it. This is just a ridiculous Tumblr fad. Even bands like The Pretty Reckless are not "soft grunge" but rather post-grunge. "Soft grunge" in music would pretty much be synonymous with post-grunge bands like Seether, Nickelback, Foo Fighters, etc.

Notability[edit]

Re: the revert (Undid revision 621057173 by Czar (talk) previously dePROD'd--pls send to AfD if you are unsatisfied...in re: unreliable sources, pls identify specific areas of concern inline or on talk page), where is the old prod full? And sending it to AfD is not the next step. What sources are being used here to show that the article passes the general notability guideline? I'll do a source review if it comes to that. czar  02:09, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lana del Rey & Charli XCX: music genre or aesthetic/style?[edit]

This source refers to a "'carelessly' cultivated SoCal soft grunge aesthetic (see: Lana Del Rey)," which I think has more to do with fashion trends (or a categorization of digital imagery) than musical genres. Charli XCX gives examples of clothing instead of musical influences & refers to soft grunge as a sartorial style, not a musical genre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.225.244.42 (talk) 09:29, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There are many things wrong with this article.[edit]

The first thing I'd like to point out is that this sounds an awful lot like an essay. As we know, wikipedia is not a site for essays. Second, There are six individual instances of "[citation needed]", one of "[broken citation]", and one of "[not in citation given]". KarkityVantas (talk) 18:43, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bowdlerization[edit]

Never heard this term in my life. I'm going to need to google it. Kind of surprised this term doesn't have an internal link to its wiki (if it has one). YellowAries2010 (talk) 23:28, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
