Is Goku Jr as a Super Saiyan as strong as Goku as a Super Saiyan?[edit]

I don't seem to think so, however, due to his limited time that the audience observes him, it is not easy to tell. I believe that when he goes Super Saiya, his power increases drastically, but by observing his ability, he does not seem even nearly as strong as the original Super Saiyans in the series were (Goku, Vegeta, ect). This would make sense for his diluted Saiyan blood.Majinvegeta

It really depends on what saga your looking at. For example, Goku's Super Saiyan form in the Buu Saga is probably a lot stronger than it was during the Freeza Saga when he first unleashed this form. Goku Jr is shown fighting for only a short time but based on the fight with Vegeta Jr, he doesn't seem to have as much power as Goku in his normal form. Then again, even though Goku Jr is only 1/16 Saiyan, it seems that a Saiyan-Human hybrid is almost as strong (if not stronger) than a full Saiyan (the perfect example would be Gohan or Goten). I'm just surprised that Goku Jr can even become a Super Saiyan due to his diluted Saiyan blood, as Majinvegeta said above. But, nonetheless, if you were to take the two Super Saiyans and pit them against each other, Goku Jr wouldn't even be a match for Goku.
