south...[edit]

the article opens with a description of position relative to Seoul and describes it as south. That's just not true. It is a little south, but it is mostly to the west. I don't know exact numbers though so I'm reluctant to edit too heavily. DaronDierkes (talk) 06:32, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Airbrushed photo[edit]

The main photo appears to have been airbrushed to make the sky look more blue. The sky is gray around the buildings, and dark blue away from the buildings. This should be replaced with an untouched photo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.143.59.94 (talk) 16:04, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so - I think it's a sharpening artefact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.78.87.74 (talk) 09:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Apparently New Songdo City is synonymous with SIBD (but maybe not). In any case, the photo is labeled "New Songdo City," though that term is nowhere else used. some-one in the know should clear this up. Kdammers (talk) 11:43, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

west of Seoul[edit]

it is not so far from the border of seoul. the distance in the article say how many km it is from the center of the city. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.196.166.161 (talk) 07:45, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

fact checking[edit]

I am pretty close to certain that there was at least one foreign university in ROK before this city was even built. some other statements also seem questionable, e.g., that the streets are wider than usual: What is usual? The street depicted does not look wider than hundreds of streets I've seen in Korea and elsewhere. Also, the transportation section is unclear or wrong: How does one use the bridge to the airport? If it is by subway, then only one transfer is necessary to get to Seoul. The article reads a bit too much like promo (even attend classes remotely.[13] They can control lighting, heating, air conditioning and more, all with the push of a button; elegant). – Over the years, as the Songdo International Business District has become a well-established neighbourhood of Incheon, it is now commonly and often referred to as just "Songdo". Many Wikipedia's already use just "Songdo". The nomination was initially by Loranchet of just Songdo International Business DistrictSongdo but it appeared in WP:RM#Possibly incomplete requests, so I added the part to resolve where Songdo should go. I am leaving this comment here to try to not have WP:TPO apply. Will revert changes if anyone requests. TartarTorte 16:45, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Kaesong seems a more likely primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 14:56, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    How? Kaesong hasn't been called Songdo for eight decades :3 F4U (they/it) 16:46, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Loranchet, the nomination was incomplete as Songdo has content at it. I added the proposed move of Songdo to Songdo (disambiguation) to complete the nomination. Let me know if that's not what you wanted and I can revert it. TartarTorte 16:45, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Resubstituted RM template so that page names in match those below the template at 16:50, 31 March 2023 (UTC), then fixed a bunch of errors I missed. Sorry about that. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:52, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
      • I didn't menan my request to be incomplete. I see there's already a page called "Songdo", a disambiguation page. But we can still create a page "Songdo" with the text of the article, and then put for other uses, see 'Songdo (disambiguation)', at the top of the article, as is done in many other articles, such as in the article "Iran".Loranchet (talk) 19:59, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
