There is no proof that the Sonos One second generation, and the Sonos SL are similar (besides the microphones)[edit]

I added a small remark to the text about the Sonos One SL. The common understanding is that the Sonos One and the Sonos One SL are completely the same, apart from missing microphones for the One SL. But no one actually researched that, no one did an actual teardown of both devices, and made that public. When something looks similar from the outside, it does not mean its internals are the same. In fact there is some (independent) signalling that could indicate differences. The UK consumer organisation Which has independently tested both devices and found a significant difference in sound quality. A reason for this was an incomplete (or suboptimal) firmware for the One second generation. A re-test after a (first) firmware update resulted in a better, but still not at-the-same-level sound quality. The reason for this could still be problems in the firmware, but it could also be partly be caused by different hardware. Which did not do a teardown either.
