Merger[edit]

Soronzonboldyn Battsetseg needs to be merged into this page. Two articles on the same person with differing spellings. Vidor (talk) 05:34, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Actually all Olympic sources give her name as "Soronzonbold". I'll merge the relevent material then set up both pages as a redirect to Soronzonbold Battsetseg - Basement12 (T.C) 14:43, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Mongolian)#People. The Mongolian form is Соронзонболдын, so it should be Soronzonboldyn. BTW, the IOC doesn't add the genitive suffix to the surnames (which are actually patronymics), and addresses the athletes by their father's (or mother's) names, which is ridiculous. --chinneeb-talk 14:57, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the input, I'll put in a request to have this page moved to the correct title at Soronzonboldyn Battsetseg so the talk page discussions can be kept intact - Basement12 (T.C) 15:17, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
