Robb Jetty/Robb's Jetty[edit]

Some source is having a pull of the leg - if for 60 years it was known as Robb's how come heritage professionals can get away with calling it Robb Jetty? One heritage council ref is very unconvincing - specially with most of the henrietta sources using the Robb's - this article has been changed in part to robb's with the possibility of a seperate article on the jetty, the abbatoir and the meat export industry - however I think the usage of Robb over Robb's would have to have quite a few refs with robb to be convincing - most I have reviewed show Robb's Satu Suro 15:00, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bit confused what is being identified as an issue here? I found this and this (by the Heritage Council of WA] using "Robb Jetty", as with this LandCorp link and a 2000 regulation and an industrial award from 2003. It seems, particularly from railway sites, it was historically called "Robb's Jetty" - see this, this (another 2000 piece of legislation) and as the site of C.Y. O'Connor's demise. It seems both are therefore in use (I found plenty of blogs, fishing sites and other informal sources using one or the other) but the 's is primarily older and without primarily newer. Robb's has been a common misnomer since the year dot. The correct name is Robb Jetty. I can't prove it, but just know that to be a fact having personally sighted several official papers including land titles. Moondyne 00:43, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

South Fremantle Power Station[edit]

The South Fremantle Power Station is actucally located in the suburb of Coogee, in fact a lot of this article refers to activities and buildings that are outside the suburb of South Fremantle - agree the article needs to be re-written. Dan arndt (talk) 01:44, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

North Coogee[edit]

Have moved most of this information to the article on North Coogee as that is the area that the information relates to - as a result this article needs to be re-worked so that it covers the actual suburban area (the area south of the Fishing Boat Harbour through to South Beach) and highlights the unique history of the area.
