Name[edit]

United States Geological Survey topographic maps refer to the range as "South Mountains". Per the GNIS [1], "Salt River Mountains" is a variant name, not the official name. I know of no more authoritative source than the USGS for names of geological featurs and strenuously object to moving this article to that title. Shereth 17:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Trials[edit]

Hello! I think the South Mountain wiki page could use some love. I wanted to include in the introduction how South Mountain attracts a lot of mountain bikers and the many trails one could take as a hiker or a biker in the Peaks section.
