Postseason games[edit]

Raising a question about wording Division I-AA / FCS playoff games as "bowl games", at Southern Illinois Salukis football#Postseason games. There is a note that reads:

Since 1981, the NCAA Division I FCS Playoffs Regional Championships were commonly referred to as the Boardwalk Bowl (East Region Championship), Pecan Bowl (Midwest Region Championship), Grantland Rice Bowl (South Region Championship), and Camellia Bowl (West Region Championship).

That's inconsistent with the history of those bowl games (see linked pages). It would be more accurate to simply call such games playoff games within Division I-AA/FCS. See for example Montana Grizzlies football#Division I-AA/FCS Playoffs results and Youngstown State Penguins football#Postseason history. Not advocating removing any results, just clarify as I-AA/FCS playoff games, consistent with other programs. Also, there are postseason games missing—for example, in the 2007 NCAA Division I FCS football season, the Salukis played (and won) a first-round playoff game, which is not currently listed. I'm happy to update the table accordingly, but wanted to outline here first. Comment welcome. Dmoore5556 (talk) 23:09, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
