false categories[edit]

Using the Buryat language does not mean that they are Mongols or Buryats. The same as in China, the use of the Chinese language by the Mongols or the transition of some Mongols to the Chinese language does not mean that they became Chinese. And the one who introduced these categories is biased, but most of them act in Ruviks, where he has a lot of them, including the people Afshars whom he also includes in the category of Mongolian peoples only on the basis of the fact that some of them once knew the Mongolian language. Indeed ethnic identity is more complex than the language spoken. But it also more complex than genetic heritage or any other simple factor. It is entirely possible for a people to belong to two larger ethnic groups; in this case Soyot are Samoyedic, Turkic and Mongolic.

If you know the history of the Soyot you'd know that we're descendants of Samoyedic people who migrated to the Sayan and consequentely assimilated into the local existing cultures, that includes both Turkic and Mongolic cultures. If you're so sure to deny the Mongolic part of our cultural identity, then you should also campaign to remove the Turkic part.

Also if you're slinging around delusional accusations that can easily be falsified, you're not going to gain support, or even make people attempt to take you seriously. Kardoen (talk) 10:06, 9 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Provide links that immediately open to reliable, unbiased sources, including indicating pages to read so that everyone can see that they are Buryats, Mongols, according to the categories that you want to contribute and return.
