Just wanted to point out that while there are two Sun Ra albums with the title Space Is the Place, only one of them is the soundtrack. Space is the Place (album) (Impulse CD) dates from around the same time as the film, but is not the soundtrack. The soundtrack (Space Is the Place (soundtrack)) was re-issued as a CD by Evidence. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:46, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Somewhere in my stack of old magazines, I have an interview in which Sun Ra essentially concurs with the inclusion of the additional scenes (now part of the Director's Cut). This was still a few years, however, before the original version (without those scenes) was issued on VHS (around the same time as the soundtrack CD). -- Gyrofrog (talk) 01:29, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
