Bit confused here... For astrometry, do we really need this article?... how is "space velocity" different from "velocity"? Astronaut 00:55, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All velocities are relative to some reference point. The term "space velocity" defines the reference point whereas "velocity" leaves the reference point implied or undefined. – Conrad T. Pino (talk) 03:46, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
