Rename[edit]

Could someone rename the article to Specialist Crime & Operations. 81.156.190.29 (talk) 20:26, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Has the name been changed? Is there an announcement anywhere on the web? I'm here because it's been announced that the new Scottish Agency will be called the Specialist Crime Directorate and I was just about to figure out if anyone would mind this becoming a disambiguation page, but if the MET have given up the name I guess the new Scottish agency could have the primary position for the name Identz (talk) 00:58, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The METs page on Google listed as Specialist Crime Directorate now goes to Specialist Crime & Operations Identz (talk) 01:00, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In fact it has been merged: link. I'll move everything around when I've got the time to also move what links here Identz (talk) 15:17, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I Kept the name Specialist Crime Directorate and renamed it "Specialist Crime Directorate (Metropolitan Police)" and made a brand new page for Specialist Crime & Operations. Just changing the name of this page to SC&O caused a lot of problems with what linked here. For example any article that said someone worked for the Specialist Crime directorate would all have linked to SC&O - something they may have had no involvement with.
