Merge proposal[edit]

To me, it looks like Speech signal processing and Speech processing are articles on exactly the same topic, and I think they should be merged. (However, bear in mind that I'm not an expert in this area.) Would anyone object to me performing a merge? Best — Mr. Stradivarius on tour (have a chat) 05:38, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do. This redundant stub has hung around too long. Dicklyon (talk) 06:19, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Like Mr. Stradivarius I am not particularly expert in computational linguistics or information theory, but IEEE seems to regard these as the same or closely related topics. Merge 'em, I say. Cnilep (talk) 07:36, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, merging is good. Since Wikipedia is about things/concepts, not words, having two articles is a form of content forkery. — Ƶ§œš¹ [ãːɱ ˈfɹ̠ˤʷɪ̃ə̃nlɪ] 12:40, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've performed the merge. — Mr. Stradivarius on tour (have a chat) 04:52, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
