Default network key can be calculated[edit]

I think something should be said about the hassle it caused when the news came that the default network key of many, many SpeedTouch Wireless modems could be calculated from the SSID. See this page for information, or do a google search on it. Tried it myself for educational purposes: In urban area in The Netherlands there's almost a fully covered 'network' of SpeedTouch wifi networks that can be illegally utilised in this way. Something should be said about that well known flaw in some SpeedTouch modems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deresser (talkcontribs) 10:13, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this up. I have run into this problem myself. I'll add it to the article. - Ahunt (talk) 18:24, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ST536 v6 with only one Ethernet port![edit]

Hi. I have a THOMSON ST536 v6 modem that only has one Ethernet port, one USB port, and one DSL port. According to the article my modem should have three Ethernet ports of which it does not. Somebody please mend the article. Jonathanhaswon (talk) 03:44, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the article test was a bit ambiguous. I have found the modem archive and have updated the entry and the ref. Thanks for bringing this up. - Ahunt (talk) 15:28, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
