Scope[edit]

This issue is very interesting for sperm donors or potential sperm donors, and therefore it deserves a place. Those who are not interested need not to click the further information-link in sperm donation. Mikael Häggström (talk) 08:30, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't seem to grasp what this article is really about. Limitation of what per country? What do those numbers signify?

Needs a better opening paragraph and maybe another title, IMHO.

In Belgium[edit]

I'm pretty sure that in Belgium, the limitation is now 6 by law. I don't have a citation at hand, though. --Tijmen —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.206.126.243 (talk) 12:38, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is true. The Belgiam Government passed laws in 2007 which took effect in 2008 limiting to six the number of children which a single donor can produce. This is a significant change since previously Belgian fertility clinics treated patients from all over Europe and they even imported donor sperm from other countries, often where local limits had been reached. I have changed the table to reflect this change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ALEXEIS (talkcontribs) 20:37, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In Netherlands[edit]

As a donor, I received 100€ per donation at Rijnstate ziekenhuis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:980:8A15:1:47E:126A:D67:CA1E (talk) 10:50, 19 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In United States[edit]

Citations in this section are mostly poor quality - would like to see better citations here (e.g. Fed/State law cited) Jack Nunn 08:35, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

Catholic Priests[edit]

Are priests in the Catholic Church permitted by their Church to become sperm donors? 81.151.237.102 (talk) 01:49, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
