Re: Dr. Identity[edit]

Beg pardon?[edit]

"Antiheroes are more prevalent than crucifix-bearing Abraham Van Helsing of early horror fiction...."

Does this mean that Abraham Van Helsing only appears occasionally in splatterpunk works? Or does it mean that antiheroes appear in splatterpunk less frequently than Abraham Van Helsing did in early horror fiction? Or does it mean something else altogether that I just don't get (perhaps as a result of my being marginalized, alienated, drug-prone and generally anti-social?) Will someone familiar with the subject please clear up this ambiguity? I'd take a shot at it myself, but I fear that I'm now less knowledgeable about splatterpunk than I was before I read this article. Splatterpunk in other media[edit]
