All-time record[edit]

To the IP address who has been working on this page, please don't revert the all-time playoff table or regular season record. There were numerous errors in the table that have been fixed and the formatting is standardized throughout CHL team pages per Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey. Plus, the current table links to the WHL season articles whereas the old one does not. BoojiBoy 14:19, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3rd Biggest Arena?[edit]

Someone confirm this. There is no way this is true, as Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome, Vancouver's Pacific Colusieum, Saskatoon's Credit Union Center, Portland's Rose Garden, and Seattle's KeyArena are all bigger, with Edmonton's Rexall Place soon to be bigger. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.165.255.180 (talkcontribs)

One of the problems with the larger arenas is that their listed capacities for the WHL dont always match their true capacities. As an example, the Calgary Hitmen's own game program lists the Pengrowth Saddledome at a capacity of 16,337. This is becuase they typically do not open the 300 level, which would raise capacity to 19,289. Similaraly, the Pacific Coliseum is listed by the WHL's media guide as having a capacity of 7500 (much of the upper level closed). KeyArena similaraly is listed at 6,324 by the media guide. (much of the lower bowl is unusuable for hockey). Technically, the Rose Garden is not the Portland Winterhawks primary facility either. I believe that this is the rationelle being used for this statement - only Calgary and Saskatoon are listed as having a higher capacity. The statement is a half truth at best, however. I am certain it can be reworded to be a little more accurate. Resolute 01:05, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is true. Spokane Arena IS larger than Key Arena when it comes to hockey, because much of the lower bowl of Key Arena has to be taken out because of the setup.

Fair use rationale for Image:Spokanechiefs.GIF[edit]

Image:Spokanechiefs.GIF is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arena Size Ranking, Dispute[edit]

Glad to see the 'potential edit war' has ended (for now). It would have been a shame, to have this page slapped with a 'protection tag'. GoodDay 18:51, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree. Especially when the article is not about the arena itself. Flibirigit 05:00, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
