Untitled[edit]

Sponge band member Joey Mazzola used to be in a cool metal rock band in Hollywood, Los Angeles in the late 1980's, called THUNDERBALL. He changed his name to Joey Price, got help with a B.C.Rich guitar endorsement thru his bandleader Rik Fox, and also a Randal Amplifier endorsement. They put together a great demo, then, eventually, when Joey left the band at the insistance of his lazy, couch potato brother-in-law-Scott's meddling, Joey left, and eventually returned home to Detroit. Apparently he *was* in the band Sponge, but now, seems to no longer be with this group. What ever happened to Joey Mazzola, aka Thunderball's 'Joey Price'? As said in Spinal Tap: "Where is he now"?

Write a wiki entry on him, and I'm sure others will fill in the gaps. :) - IstvanWolf 22:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll leave the page entry to someone else (unless some fairies magically show up and scrape/paint our house) but he's done quite a bit recently. He's still in metro Detroit (as of at least a few months ago) and gives guitar lessons at a music store in Royal Oak. He toured fairly recently with the Detroit Cobras, played lead guitar for Queen Bee and has done work with a number of other Detroit based artists. He did (somewhat offically, I gather) leave Sponge.
