Harness racing

I once heard that Harness racing is/was the sport in Sweden that involves the most people. If there is a good source for this, it should be mentioned somewhere in the article. I don't have one, though. --Bamsefar75 17:33, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

I seriously doubt that. You can find a lot of information on the statistics page of Riksidrottsförbundet. Everything points out football as the biggest sport in Sweden in terms of media attention, attendance numbers, number of events, number of active athletes, economical turnover and more. – Elisson • T • C • 18:09, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Since Harness racing is not organized by Riksidrottsförbundet you can not find any information about that on the statistics page of Riksidrottsförbundet. According to an article on the web site of the horse racing association harness racing is the sport with the third largest number of spectators (after football and icehockey). It is sometimes claimed that harness racing is the sport involving most people, this is counting all people breeding, training and taking care of the horses as well. --79.138.132.153 (talk) 21:48, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
