Ceylon Telegraph Office[edit]

Ceylon Telegraph Office was used as an analogue laboratory by Edward Harper who was founder of Radio Ceylon to do experiments on broadcasting and as a result of his experiments Radio Ceylon was established in 1921. Harper's immense contribution to world broadcasting was recently acknowledged by His Royal Highness The prince Of Wales and the prime minister David Cameron.
