6-6-2012: The current information about St. John's University is totally inaccurate and was written years ago by an individual in the Florida Criminal Justice industry who was fired and replaced by a SJU alumni, Police Chief Walter McNeil. I have been President of this University since 1995. Yesterday I read this entry fo the first time and tried to correct the information that was totally false, libelous, let alone vindictive. My changes were truthful, neutral in nature and helpful to the reader. I see that all of my changes were deleted. I have an account and wish to properly edit this information. I will respect your rules. Please note that even most of the references at the bottom refer back to Walter McNeil's promotion by the Governor of Florida and this person's attempts to discredit this university because Mr. McNeil earmed his Master's degree from St. John's University. Please advise - Pam Winkler, Ph.d. My e-mail is dr.pamela.winkler@verizon.net

Thanks for taking an interest in this article and asking for help! Looking at the recent history of this article, there seems to have been two problems with the edits that were recently made and reverted: (a) they removed information sourced to published sources and replaced it with unsourced information and (b) they removed some critical information that should definitely be in the article and not hidden, downplayed, or removed (e.g. lack of accreditation). Please understand that we must rely on published sources in Wikipedia and not the personal experiences or expertise of individual editors.
If you have published sources that have more updated information for this article, please feel free to drop a line here in Talk and we'll be happy to help you incorporate them into the article. But please be very cautious in editing this article yourself as you have a conflict of interest and it's best to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
