The very same "sources" you mention clearly state: The present position and status of the diocese of Ross and Skibbereen Cathedral is a little unclear. Again, the definite source to determine whether a church is a cathedral in a catholic diocese is the very diocese. As clearly stated in the diocese website, this church does not hold this status and, although naming it as a cathedral can be valid from a popular or traditional point of view, we cannot state it's a cathedral right now. --Discasto (talk) 09:41, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
