Outsider's comment[edit]

The article on St. Budeaux is surprisingly detailed for what is now a small part of the City of Plymouth. It desperately needs a map showing the location of the original parish in relation to Plymouth rather than to Devon as a whole.

The section entitled "19th Century" should be introduced with an explanation of how close the parish was to Devonport. The Napoleonic War is not mentioned, but it was the cause of the expansion of Devonport at this time.

The next paragraph contains the sentence "Much of the development was incited by General John Trelawney, formerly John Jago, who inherited a great deal of St Budeaux's land from his uncle in 1883." Who was John Jago's uncle? Why did he change his name? Wikipedia does not appear to contain an article on this family.

The whole article is probably interesting to those who are trying to obtain specific information about the growth of Plymouth, but is not helpful to those who have never visited the city.
